Hiking in Kanab, Utah: Adventures with My Dog & a Visit to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary

Kanab, Utah, is a paradise for adventurers and their four-legged companions. With its stunning red rock landscapes, slot canyons, and endless trails, it’s a dream destination for hikers and their dogs. One of our favorite trails was Squaw Trail, offering breathtaking views of Kanab’s iconic red cliffs. My pup loved navigating the rocky paths and sniffing the desert breeze while I marveled at the expansive scenery. Pro tip: Bring plenty of water, as the desert heat can sneak up on you and your furry friend!

After hiking, we visited the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, a must-see for animal lovers. Nestled in Angel Canyon, this sanctuary is the largest of its kind in the U.S., providing care and rehabilitation for thousands of animals. We joined a guided tour to explore Dogtown, Cat World, and even the horse and bunny areas. Their mission to "Save Them All" is inspiring, and visiting felt like giving back to the animal community.

Kanab is more than just a beautiful place—it's a haven for making unforgettable memories with your dog while supporting a cause that truly matters. Whether you're trekking through nature or volunteering at the sanctuary, Kanab offers the perfect mix of adventure and heart.

Plan your trip and experience the magic of Kanab with your pup by your side!
