Rolling Deep at Daikon Sushi – Vegas Edition
Share
Let me set the scene: Las Vegas, warm desert air, my stomach growling louder than a slot machine jackpot. I needed something fresh, something delicious, and something that didn’t come with neon cheese. Enter: Daikon Sushi, your new favorite sushi spot hiding in plain sight right off the strip.
📍 Location:
Daikon Sushi – Las Vegas, Nevada
(Not too far from all the chaos, but just far enough that you won’t bump into someone dressed as Elvis ordering sashimi.)
What Kind of Food?
Japanese fusion vibes, baby. Sushi rolls, fresh fish, crispy bites, and a vibe that’s both chill and welcoming. You don’t have to be a sushi snob to enjoy this place—just bring your appetite and maybe someone who won’t steal your last bite.
What I Ordered (aka my winning hand):
-
Albacore – light, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth perfection. I almost proposed to it.
-
Hot Girl Roll – spicy, sassy, and everything your ex wasn’t. A total flavor bomb with just the right kick.
-
Golden State Roll – avocado dreams and crunchy surprises wrapped in a California hug.
All of them? 10/10. Would roll again.
And just when I thought I was done, in came the chocolate shake. Let me tell you, I did not expect to be sipping a creamy, rich, chocolate masterpiece after sushi, but this thing was dessert royalty. It was like if Willy Wonka opened a Japanese fusion joint. I’m still thinking about it.
The Vibe:
I was there with good company, and that always helps—but the service? Top notch. The staff was super friendly, helpful with the menu, and didn’t make me feel weird for ordering dessert with chopsticks (kidding… kind of).
Bonus Round – Sister Restaurant Alert!
Daikon has a brand-new sister restaurant, too—so if you become obsessed like I did, you’ve got options. Same great quality, fresh twists, and more reason to come back. And believe me, I’ll be back every time I’m in town. Might even become a regular if I keep finding excuses to “accidentally” fly into Vegas

TL;DR
If you’re in Vegas and need a break from the casino buffets and overpriced hot dogs, Daikon Sushi is where it’s at. Fresh, flavorful, fun. Order the Albacore, Hot Girl Roll, and Golden State Roll, then end it like a legend with a chocolate shake. You’re welcome.
